Mexican Day of the Dead skulls, known as calaveras, are vibrant and symbolic representations of death and the afterlife.

These skulls are a central part of Día de los Muertos, a Mexican holiday celebrated on November 1st and 2nd to honour and remember deceased loved ones.

Far from being morbid, these colorful skulls reflect a joyful and respectful attitude toward death, embracing the belief that life and death are interconnected.

Artistic skull designs also appear in face paintings and crafts, often adorned with flowers, hearts, and intricate patterns.

This imagery is inspired by La Catrina, a famous skeleton figure created by artist Jose Guadalupe Posada, symbolising the idea that death comes for everyone, regardless of social status.

Our Cuatro Calaveras Day of the Dead four skulls Note books celebrate life, memory, and cultural heritage, offering a colourful reminder that those who have passed are never truly gone.
